It has been some time since using this page.

We moved to Decatur and have been trying to adjust to all the facets of fitting in: finding a new church, connecting with fellow homeschoolers, and finding new friends (but not forgetting the old!). Just being busy with life has kept me from my art blog, but I have not been stagnant in my art endeavors. Currently, I am setting up a new business to have art classes (among other things) in my home. We have a separate area (attached apartment) where we have set up a small used book store, having an area for a class of 6-10 students at a time (ten being a tight, but doable, squeeze).

I have been involved with a homeschool group in the Decatur area, teaching a variety of classes, and this year I have had the honor of teaching with an excellent teacher of art, Jonee, and was even allowed to have a few of my own students. There have also been students coming and going here at the house, now known as "The Learning Den".

The Learning Den has a FB page and a blog, as well. I am keeping this blog page to separate the art from the other services of the business: used book consignment and a variety of other classes. The blogging will not be the same as it was in the past (I was fairly consistent in posting regularly), but I will keep this updated to let everyone know what is going on with the re-start of Art w/Mrs. Hayes.
